Sudan

Sudan is a country that has been and is currently subjected to rapidly increasing political instability. Civil wars have ravaged the country for years and an entire generation has either been killed or is currently in one of many refugee camps.

Sudan is a difficult country to get around in. There are virtually no paved roads in a country the size of Texas. Most villages have no electricity, no running water and a host of traumatized people.

Trip Summary

The people of Sudan need to believe in something and someone. In essence, they need the Church and they need Leadership in their villages. At the present, the Church has taken the opportunity to act quickly to equip as many leaders as possible with the tools and training that is necessary in order to establish healthy, growing churches throughout Southern Sudan.

Volunteers will get a first hand introduction to the living conditions of the local villagers. This will be accomplished by traveling into the remote areas of the country, getting out of your vehicle and walking on trails from village to village meeting with villagers and sharing the Gospel.

This trip is physical. You will be paired with a Sudanese guide and interpreter whom very quickly you’ll want to throw in your bag and bring back to the U.S. They are a very warm and loving people. But church planting is sometimes strenuous….but it is also incredibly rewarding. This trip will change your life.

Hear it from them
